Russell native and former U.S. Senator Bob Dole returned to Russell during Prairiesta June 9-12.

Dole made stops around town on Friday, including the KRSL Studios, before hosting a meet and greet at the Fossil Creek Hotel and Suites.  He rode on a fire truck named after his father, Doran, in Saturday's parade.
