2018 ROAR Winners Announced

R.O.A.R. LogoThe winners of the 2018 Russell Original Art Review have been announced.

Since 1969 the ROAR show has given Kansas artists, both professional and amateur, the opportunity to show and sell their work as well as compete for prize money.

Art media includes oil, watercolor, acrylic, drawings, mixed media, sculpture, pastels, photography, ceramics and computer generated works.

This year, there were 312 total entries from 70 amateur artists and 47 professional artists representing 29 different Kansas cities.

Entries also included students from Russell High School, Republic County High School, Pike Valley High School, Colby Community College and Fort Hays State University.

Show dates are Friday and Saturday, October 12 and 13 from 9 AM to 9 PM and Sunday, October 14 from 9 AM to 4 PM at the 4-H Building in Russell. Admission is free and some pieces will be available to buy.

This year's show was made possible by the support of 85 area businesses and individuals.
