Three Arrested Monday on Multiple Drug Charges

Drug Arrest 2Three Russell people were arrested Monday on multiple drug charges following the execution of a search warrant at an apartment.

According to dispatch logs, at 11:59 AM Monday, Russell County Sheriff Fred Whitman advised Russell Dispatch that Sheriff's Office and Russell Police Department units were at 819 North Main Street in Russell to execute a search warrant.

Three subjects, Jessie Hayden Brown, Marshall Lloyd Reeves and Darla Monroe, were placed under arrest and transported to the Russell County Jail.

All three were charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of heroin, possession of marijuana and possession of methamphetamine.

Additionally, Monroe was charged with interference.

At 12:09 PM Monday, Brown escaped custody and ran westbound on 8th Street. At 12:13 PM, he was back in custody.

Brown was arrested and charged with battery on a law enforcement officer and escape from custody.

Reeves was also served a warrant for failure to appear.

Brown was also served warrants for failure to appear, aggravated burglary, theft of property, criminal damage to property and probation violation.
