Governor Laura Kelly Welcomes Mechanized Concepts to Russell

MCK Ribbon Cutting 7-18-19 1Kansas Governor Laura Kelly and several other dignitaries officially welcomed design, engineering and manufacturing company Mechanized Concepts to Russell at a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday.

The event was held at Cecil Bricker Park at 8th and Main in downtown Russell. It marked the official business relationship of Utah-based Mechanized Concepts with Russell focusing on local economic development.

The company will focus on industrial hemp product and equipment manufacturing and will be located on South Front Street in Russell.

Mechanized Concepts Founder and CEO Matt Colledge and Governor Kelly spoke at the event.

Governor Kelly commented on the potential job creation associated with Mechanized Concepts.

She also spoke about industrial hemp.

The company has worked closely with Russell County Economic Development, the City of Russell, Russell County and the Kansas Department of Commerce to collaborate toward a stronger economic future for Russell.

Mechanized Concepts revolutionized large equipment modernization in 2017 through innovative design, engineering and manufacturing according to a statement.
