RCCP Adopt-a-Child for Christmas Program Now Accepting Donations

The Russell County Community Partnership is sponsoring the Adopt-a-Child for Christmas program again this year.
This is the fourth year for the program, and according to group organizers this year it will expand to include preschool children.
In December, Russell County families with children in Preschool through the 5th grade and who are in need, will register with the program. The donated money will then be pooled together and used by the RCCP to buy gifts for children in need this holiday season. Just before Christmas, the gifts will be distributed to the families.
Donations are currently being accepted. Last year, gifts for approximately 60 elementary children, spending approximately $75 on each child, were bought. That's a total of $4,500, all of which was spent locally.
