Expired Registration Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest

A Russell man was arrested for possession of Methamphetamine early Tuesday morning after being pulled over for a traffic stop because of expired vehicle registration.
According to a Russell Police report, at just after 2 AM Tuesday, Christopher Delauder was stopped in the 200 Block of North Lincoln Street in Russell. Delauder's 1992 Jeep was found to be in violation of registration, and upon further search, Meth was found in the vehicle.
Delauder was also charged with no proof of insurance and held on the authority of two outstanding Russell County warrants, one for failure to comply and the other for child support.
Delauder was arrested and transported to the county jail. A&D Towing impounded the vehicle.
