Semi Truck Fire Reported on I-70 Near Dorrance

A semi truck caught on fire Monday afternoon on eastbound Interstate 70 at mile marker 197 approximately two miles west of Dorrance, according to local law enforcement.
A recent police report said Russell County Rural Fire District #5, Dorrance Fire and Russell County EMS responded to extinguish the blaze that started at around 1:15 PM Monday in the rear drive train area of the tractor and quickly spread to the cab and front of the trailer. Firefighters were out at the scene until about 2:30 Monday afternoon.
No injuries occurred.
