Create a Video, Win Technology Money for Your School
- Published on Thursday, 17 January 2013 09:15
The contest is open to rural schools, grades four through 12.
Teachers will lead student teams of up to three students in creating a one to two minute video that demonstrates how their rural community is similar to or different from a rural community in a different part of the US or world. Schools can sponsor more than one team.
"This is an excellent program for rural youth," states Jacque Beckman, Nex-Tech's Youth Services/Community Development Coordinator. "Students will use broadband technology to create, upload, view and stream their videos. Participating schools will receive a free, 60-day trial of Discovery Education's many online educational services."
The contest began January 14 and ends March 15. Winners will be announced at the end of April.
