Semi Truck with Loaded Cattle Trailer Catches on Fire

Cattle Truck Fire 1-21A semi truck fire involving a loaded cattle trailer on an onramp at the Dorrance exit of Interstate 70 was reported to Russell Dispatch at just after 10:15 Monday morning.

Via emergency personnel scanner traffic, the KRSL News Team has learned minimal damage was done to the trailer and the cattle were reportedly unharmed and loaded onto another trailer, but severe damage was done to the tractor as it was burned to the axles and destroyed.

No injuries to the driver have been reported and a cause or specific start location of the blaze has not been stated.

Dorrance Fire, Bunker Hill Fire and Russell County EMS responded to the scene and were able to get the fire under control and out at around 11:30 Monday morning.
