RHS FFA Scotland Trip Fundraising Progressing

FFAThe Russell High School FFA livestock judging team is off and running in its fundraising efforts for its June trip to the International Dairy Judging Tour in Scotland.

Russell County Extension Agent John Stannard, who is heading up the fundraising efforts for the team, says to send a team of four it will cost around $20,000. So far, Stannard says, they have raised just over $3,500. He explains the ways you can donate and help this team realize a dream.

"First of all, they can give me a call on my cell phone, which is 483-9156, or for the next couple weeks at the office at 483-3157. If they want to make a check and just leave it at the high school, make it out to FFA Alumni," Stannard said.

The trip dates are June 19 through July 3 of this year. On the trip, the team will not only compete in livestock judging, but they will also tour parts of Scotland, England and Ireland.
