Pfiefer Well Levels Rise Two to Five Feet After Water Release

After only about a week of time to soak in, the recent Cedar Bluff Reservoir water release requested by the Russell City Council to replenish its wells near Pfiefer is already making a positive impact on the levels of the wells.
City of Russell Public Works Director Arlyn Unrein said Monday afternoon that he went out to the wells and got water level measurements on Monday morning and all the wells in the well field were up anywhere from two to five feet, with more than half of them being up exactly four feet.
He said he expects the levels will increase even more as all the release water flows through the well field.Read More Local News
