Board Members Jerry Brown, Jim Cross and Raeleen Reinhardt as well as Russell High School Principal Larry Bernard, Ruppenthal Middle School Principal Gaylon Walter and Couch will be on the screening committee. Applications will be taken until April 15.

Also at the meeting, after a presentation from Simpson and Bickerdyke Elementary Schools Principal Kent Michel, the Board voted to move all Second Grade classes for the 2013-2014 school year to Bickerdyke from Simpson. The move comes after Michel reported that very large numbers of kids are possible for next year for his Kindergarten and First Grade classes, and he thought it would be better to split the classes into four sections each instead of three. The change will make Simpson a Kindergarten through First Grade facility and Bickerdyke a Second through Fifth Grade building. The move is only for one year and will be evaluated a year from now.

A couple new contracts were also approved Monday night at the meeting. Charlene Sohm was named next year's RHS Head Volleyball Coach and Eric Swanson was offered the positions of new RHS Math Teacher and Head Boys Basketball Coach.
