Travel, Tourism Promoted This Week

Russell County Economic Development and CVBIt's National Travel and Tourism Week and Janae Talbott and her office at Russell County Economic Development and Convention and Visitors Bureau say Russell County is quickly becoming a popular tourist stop.

Talbott says since 2010, Russell County tourism has increased by 9.5 percent and she attributes the growth to an increased awareness of the wide array of attractions the area offers.

Outdoor activities, historic sites and the arts are just some of the things people come to Russell County to see and do, said Talbott. Weekend sightseeing trips to the county are becoming more and more popular as well.
