Harrison Graduates from KLETC

Jordan Harrison graduatesOn May 24, 2013, Jordan Harrison, Russell Police Department, graduated with the 223rd basic police training class at the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center (KLETC) in Hutchinson.

According to Russell Police Chief Dale Weimaster, the training is a 14 week, 560 hour classroom and practical training program. The training consisted of studies of, but not limited to; criminal law, crime scene investigations, use of force, defensive tactics, interviews and interrogations, traffic codes, crime prevention, report writing, marksmanship with firearms, emergency vehicle operation, physical training, accident investigations, courtroom testimony, and vehicle stops.

Harrison has been a full-time officer with the Russell Police Department for seven months.Jordan and Monica Harrison

The graduation class consisted of 62 graduates from different law enforcement agencies across the state. Attending the ceremony in support of Harrison were friends, work colleagues and family including his wife, Monica.
