The man, who law enforcement has identified, but will not release the name until formal long form charges are filed, is also believed to be in possession of a stolen flatbed trailer.
Russell County Undersheriff Max Barrett describes the vehicle and the stolen trailer.
The trailer did not have working lights or a current license plate.
Barrett says the pursuit and search for the man was unsuccessful.
The Sheriff's Office says the man also has a suspended driver's license.
Sheriff's deputies from Russell and Ellis Counties as well as Kansas Highway Patrolmen responded to the pursuit and search. Rooks and Osborne Counties were also notified.
The pursuit began at 8 o'clock Wednesday night and the search was called off at 9:30 PM.Read More Local News
