Wednesday Traffic Stop Leads to Meth Arrests

Drug ArrestTwo men are behind bars following a traffic stop in Russell early Wednesday morning that led to both of their arrests after they were found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

According to the Russell Police Department, Elijah Allen of Russell and Justin Lynn of Great Bend were pulled over by a Russell Police Officer at about 1:15 AM Wednesday in the 1400 Block of North Fossil Street because of two traffic violations - driving left of center and speeding.

Once stopped, Lynn, the passenger in the vehicle, fled on foot but was soon located by another officer.

Allen was arrested and transported to the county jail on the charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and no valid driver's license.

Lynn was charged with obstruction, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
