Russell County has received a new ambulance and the Midway Extension District is officially moving its Russell offices to the EMS building from the County Courthouse - that from Monday's Russell County Commissioners meeting.
Interim County Administrator John Fletcher says the ambulance was ordered several months ago and will replace an out-of-date and heavily used counterpart.
Another topic discussed at the meeting was the upcoming movement of the Midway Extension District offices to the open office area in the EMS building on South Fossil Street in Russell.
Fletcher says with the Commissioner's signatures of the agreement on Monday, the change is now official.
Continued road and bridge projects are progressing as well, according to a report from Larry Height as he spoke to the Commissioners Monday morning. Work to prepare the county's roads for the coming winter weather also continues.
