Russell Police Chief Offers Halloween Safety Tips

Halloween KidsWith Halloween just around the corner, local children, parents and motorists need to be mindful on Thursday evening of increased foot traffic and activity on the streets of Russell because of trick-or-treating.

Russell Police Chief Dale Weimaster talks about and highlights just a couple things parents should think about when it comes to their children's Halloween costumes.

To know the candy is safe, the chief says it's also best to trick-or-treat at homes of friends or people you know.

Weimaster reminds area motorists to be extra cautious on Russell streets Thursday night.

The Russell Police Department will again be handing out free glow necklaces to the first 300 kids that stop by the PD Thursday night to trick-or-treat.
