UPDATE: Natoma Man Arrested Saturday Following Stabbing, Car Chase

Russell County SheriffA Natoma man was arrested Saturday morning in northwestern Russell County after leading area law enforcement on a car chase that lasted about 20 minutes.

According to the Russell County Sheriff's Office, at 6:20 AM Saturday Russell County authorities received word from the Osborne County Sheriff's Office of an attempt to locate on a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix being driven by a subject who fled the scene of a stabbing in Natoma at just after 5 AM Saturday.

The stabbing victim was Justin King of Natoma according to Osborne County Sheriff Curtis Miner. King drove himself to Rooks County Health Center in Plainville with minor injuries.

Soon after 7 AM, Russell County Deputies located the vehicle south of Natoma on County Road 657 heading north toward Natoma.

Following a pursuit, the vehicle was stopped at 7:30 AM just south of Fairview Road on 175th in Russell County at which time the driver, Tyrone Lavon Roberson of Natoma and formerly of Russell attempted to flee the scene. Roberson was quickly apprehended and placed into custody.

Roberson was transported to the Russell County Jail and was charged with fleeing and eluding and for driving without a valid driver's license. He was charged by Osborne County authorities with DUI and aggravated battery.

Osborne County authorities were contacted and responded to transport Roberson to the Osborne County Jail.
