Texas Man, Woman Arrested in Russell

According to a recent law enforcement report, Russell dispatch received a call at just after 1 PM Saturday from Russell Regional Hospital requesting an officer respond to the front of the building to check on three subjects who were sitting by the door, eating out of a bag and rolling some type of cigarettes.
Upon the arrival of a Russell Police Officer, the emergency room nurse advised the subjects came into the E.R. requesting treatment for one of the subjects, however she requested the officer standby while they treated the person.
At 2:24 PM the officer advised the subjects took off on foot heading northeast from the hospital. Two additional Russell Police Officers and a Russell County Sheriff's Deputy responded to assist with the search.
At 3 PM the officers located the subjects, took them into custody and transported them to the county jail.
Police say Jessy Lee Davis was placed under arrest on the strength of a Hunt County, Texas warrant for dangerous drugs and for felony obstruction. Cheryl Lynn Yarbrough was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, introduction of contraband into a jail and for interference of a law enforcement officer.
It was also determined that Yarbrough had three active Great Bend Municipal warrants.Read More Local News
