Booster Club Looking for Members

RHS BroncosThe Russell Booster Club is lower than usual on numbers this year and one local teacher and sports advisor wants to change that.

Russell High School Cheer Advisor and Bickerdyke Elementary teacher Sarah Rhodes says the Booster Club does a lot more for not only the school, but also the community, than we sometimes realize.

"Booster Club does not just sponsor and promote athletics in the high school," Rhodes said. "It actually promotes a variety of activities like the StuCo organization they give money to, they give money to us as cheerleaders, they give scholarship monies to Scholars' Bowl, and they provide the tailgate party that happens before football games."

For more information on how to become a member of the Russell Booster Club, contact Ramona Brown.
