Monday Crash Injures Gorham Child

CrashA 2-month-old Gorham child was hospitalized with possible injuries Monday afternoon after being involved in a rear-ending crash four miles south of Great Bend.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 12:15 PM Monday on US 281 at milepost 100.

The KHP says a 2011 Dodge Charger, driven by 21-year-old Dalton C. Garrett of Great Bend, rear-ended a 2000 Ford Taurus, driven by 22-year-old Dan T. Ly of Gorham, as the Taurus was stopped waiting to make a left turn.

Garrett, Ly and 25-year-old Courtney A. Hart of Gorham, who was a passenger in the Taurus, were not injured.

However, an infant boy in the Taurus was transported to Great Bend Regional Hospital with possible injuries. His condition is unknown at this time.

Everyone involved, including the child, was buckled up.
