Missouri Teens Injured in Semi Versus Car Crash

CrashTwo Missouri teens were injured Wednesday morning after being involved in a semi versus car crash on Interstate 70 near Walker at mile marker 170.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says at 11:15 Wednesday morning a 2007 Mazda 3, driven by 18-year-old Conner Orban of Hollister, Missouri, was westbound on I-70. Orban crossed the median and struck a 1998 Kenworth semi truck, driven by 37-year-old David Scott of Blackfoot, Idaho, at an angle, side-swiping the truck in the opposite direction. Scott was eastbound on I-70 at the time of the accident and came to rest on the eastbound, outside shoulder. The Mazda came to rest in the median.

Orban was transported via EagleMed to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita with injuries. A passenger in the Mazda, 17-year-old Racheal Boyne of Ridgedale, Missouri, was taken to Hays Medical Center with injuries.

Scott and a passenger in the truck, 58-year-old Gregory Hoskins of Blackfoot, Idaho, were not injured.

The KHP says all parties involved were buckled up.
