I-70 Motorcycle Wreck Injures Two

Motorcycle CrashA Colorado man and woman were taken to Russell Regional Hospital with minor injuries Sunday after being involved in a motorcycle wreck on Interstate 70 near Russell.

According to the Russell County Sheriff's Office, at 2:26 PM Sunday, dispatch received several calls advising of a two-occupant motorcycle accident on eastbound I-70 at mile marker 180 about four miles west of Russell.

The motorcycle involved was a 1995 Harley Davidson driven by David King of Berthoud, Colorado. Melody King, also of Berthoud, was the passenger. Their current condition is unknown, but their injuries were minor according to the Sheriff's Office.

Both were wearing helmets.

The wreck happened when the rear tire of the motorcycle blew out, causing the driver to lose control.

Russell County Sheriff's Officers, Russell County EMS and the Russell City Fire Rescue Unit responded to the wreck.
