2017 R.O.A.R. Show Winners Announced

R.O.A.R. LogoThe winners of the 49th Annual R.O.A.R. Show, Russell's Original Art Review, have been announced.

The show includes 298 total entries from 52 professional artists and 49 amateur artists representing 30 cities.

Those cities include Albert, Andover, Assaria, Belleville, Beloit, Cimarron, Claflin, Derby, Downs, Ellinwood, Garden City, Great Bend, Haven, Hays, Hoisington, Hutchinson, Larned, Ogden, Paola, Phillipsburg, Plainville, Portis, Russell, Salina, Shields, Spring Hill, Topeka, Wamego, Wichita and Wilson.

Art media includes oil, watercolor, acrylic, drawings, mixed media, sculpture, pastels, photography, ceramics and computer generated works.

The judge for this year's show was McPherson College Professor of Art Wayne Conyers.

The R.O.A.R. Show will be open to the public October 13 through 15 at the 4-H Building in Russell. Show times are 9 AM to 9 PM on Friday and Saturday and 9 AM to 4 PM on Sunday. Entry is free.

This year's show was made possible by the support of 74 area businesses and individuals.
