RHS Tees Off Season on High Note

The Russell High School girls golf team opened their season on Tuesday, Aug. 28 by winning the Concordia Invitational.
The Lady Broncos shot a 398 and beat second place Concordia by 52 strokes. Clay Center was third with a 460.
Russell had four golfers finish in the top 10. Anna Plante and Alex Ptacek finished tied for first with a 95 after 18 holes. Plante won a six-hole playoff against her teammate to take the individual crown. Megan Boxberger placed fifth with a 103. Janna Schulte shot a 105 and took eighth. Aubrey Campbell was 12th with a 115.
Russell will compete in the Salina Central Invite on Tuesday.
