Broncos Shutout by Minneapolis in Opener

It was the first time the Broncos have been shutout since Week 8 of the 2008 season when they lost to Phillipsburg 40-0.
Minneapolis (1-0 overall, 1-0 NCAA) controlled the game from start to finish. The Lions took a 7-0 lead just 13 seconds into the game on Matt Comfort's 51-yard run. Minneapolis added three more first quarter touchdowns to go up 25-0. The Lions led 31-0 at halftime and 38-0 at the end of three quarters.
All 66 of Russell's yards came on the ground. Keltonn Morris led the way with 37 yards.
Minneapolis had 322 total yards. Comfort led the way with 135 yards on the ground and two scores. Garrett Lott had two touchdowns.
