Bracket Set for Morris-Stephens Classic

The bracket is now set for the annual Amos Morris-George Stephens Basketball Classic to be held in Russell Dec. 3-8.

The eight school field includes Russell, Lincoln, Nickerson, Plainville, Central Plains, Ell-Saline, Ellsworth and Phillipsburg.

The Plainville boys and Central Plains girls are the defending tournament champs.

The first round games will be played on Dec. 3 and 4 at both the RHS and RMS Gyms.  The semifinal games are Dec. 7 and third place and championship games Dec. 8 all at the RHS Gym.  The consolation games on Dec. 7 and fifth and seventh place games Dec. 8 will be played at the RMS Gym.

The Russell boys and girls both open against Lincoln on Dec. 4 at the RHS Gym.  The girls game starts at 5:45pm with the boys to follow around 7:15pm.

All Russell games will be broadcast on Classic Hits 95.9 and www.krsl.com.
