Russell's Beagley Signs with Iowa Western

Russell High School standout Madison Beagley is headed to Iowa Western Community College.
She verbally committed to the two-year school in February and made it official Friday, April 12 when she signed a letter of intent at Amos Morris Gym.
Beagley has been a three-sport star at RHS, but basketball is her favorite. The four-time All-NCAA league selection started on the varsity girls basketball team at RHS all four years and was a key figure in the program's turnaround. As a freshman, she started 20 of 21 games and averaged 8.8 points. As a sophomore, Beagley started all 22 games and averaged 10.6 points. As a junior, she again started all 22 games and averaged 11.5 points. As a senior, Beagley has started all 26 games and averaged a team-high 16.3 points in leading the Lady Broncos to a 19-7 record and a fourth place finish at the 3A State Tournament.
Iowa Western is a two-year community college based in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The Reivers went 25-6 this winter and lost in the Region XI championship game, just missing a trip to the NJCAA Women's National Tournament in Salina.
