Russell's Weiss, Ochampaugh Both Finish in Top 6

Russell High School seniors Regis Weiss and Andy Ochampaugh both earned top six finishes at the 3-2-1A State Wrestling Tournament in Hays on Saturday, Feb. 23.

Weiss went 3-1 and placed second at 152 pounds.  Ochampaugh went 3-3 and took sixth at 220 pounds.

Weiss finishes the season with a 36-6 record and Ochampaugh with a 34-9 mark.

Norton won the team title with 129.5 points.  Hoxie was second with 97 points.  Plainville third with 83 points.  Russell was 16th with 31 points.
