RHS Boys Fall to Phillipsburg

The Russell High School boys basketball team had their season come to an end after losing to Phillipsburg 88-41 in the first round of the Norton 3A Sub-State on Tuesday, Feb. 26.
The Broncos held a brief 5-2 lead early in the first quarter, but after that, it was all Panthers. Phillipsburg (18-1) led 26-7 after one quarter, 59-24 at halftime and 80-34 after three quarters.
Eric Rourke scored a career-high 17 points and Brandon Bachar followed with 10 to lead Russell.
The Broncos finish with a 1-20 record.
