Wilson Girls Make State; Three Area Teams Fall in Sub-State Final

The Wilson girls basketball team is back in the state tournament for the third time in four years.
The Lady Dragons (20-2) beat Elyria Christian 47-32 in the championship game of the Sylvan-Lucas Sub-State on Saturday, March 2.
Wilson will play Baileyville-BB (20-3) on Wednesday at 4:45pm in the first round of the 1A Div. 2 State Tournament at Gross Coliseum in Hays. You can listen to the game on Russell's Classic Country AM 990 and krsl.com.
Three other area teams played in sub-state finals on Saturday.
The Sylvan-Lucas boys (10-12) fell to Hutchinson Central Christian 74-61 in the Sylvan-Lucas 1A Div. 2 Sub-State.
The Natoma girls (15-8) were beat by Dighton 44-35 in the Palco 1A Div. 2 Sub-State.
The Victoria girls (12-11) fell to St. John-Hudson 58-24 in the St. John-Hudson 1A Div. 1 Sub-State.
