RHS Boys and Girls Both 7th in Phillipsburg

RHS Track and FieldThe Russell High School track and field teams both finished seventh at the Phillipsburg Invitational on Friday, April 19.

The RHS boys finished with 21 points and the girls 15.  Phillipsburg won the boys team title with 155 points. Beloit rolled to the girls title with 161 points.

Noah Gfeller finished fourth in both the 200 and 400 M dashes for the Russell boys.  David Crawford took fourth in the long jump and fifth in the 300 M hurdles.  Gage Nichols was fourth in the discuss.  Reshean Holloway placed sixth in the 200 M dash.  Michael Pfannenstiel took sixth in the 110 M hurdles.  The 4x400 relay team placed sixth.

For the RHS girls, Sammy Wedel took the gold in the 400 M dash and placed fourth in the 100 M dash and sixth in the 200 M dash.

Russell travels to WaKeeney on Friday for the Goldsmith Relays at 3:30pm.
