RHS Competes in Minneapolis Invite

RHS Track and FieldThe Russell High School track and field teams competed in the Minneapolis Invitational on Tuesday, April 30.

The RHS boys finished seventh of eight teams with 36 points.  Minneapolis won the team title with 134 points.  SE-Saline was second with 118.

The RHS girls took eighth with one point.  SE-Saline won the team title with 110 points.  Smoky Valley was second with 98.

Gage Nichols led the Russell boys with a third place finish in the discus.  Michael Pfannenstiel took third in the 110 M hurdles and fifth in the 300 M hurdles.  David Crawford was fourth in the long jump and 300 M hurdles.  Noah Gfeller placed fourth in the 400 M dash.  Reshean Holloway finished fifth in the high jump.  Jesse Boomhower took sixth in the shot put.  The 4x400 relay team was third and 4x100 team sixth.

Ashtyn Brown placed sixth in the shot put for the RHS girls.

Russell is back in action on Friday when they host their annual Russell Relays.
