Russell Swept by Larned

The Russell High School baseball team has now dropped six in-a-row after being swept at Larned on Saturday, May 4.

The Broncos lost 11-5 and 19-6.

Brady Dinkel (0-1) allowed five runs and seven hits over three innings and took the loss in game one.  Brandon Ridgley (0-2) gave up five runs in a third of an inning and suffered the loss in game two.  He was hit by a line drive in the arm in the first inning and left the game.

Logan Braun had two hits in the opener.  In game two, Brady Dinkel had three hits, including two doubles.  Riley Pfannenstiel had two hits, both doubles.  Brandon Bachar also finished with two hits.

Russell falls to 7-11 on the season.

Russell closes out the regular season on Monday at Beloit.  The doubleheader begins at 4pm.
