RHS FootballThe Russell High School football team dropped to 0-2 on the season after suffering a 27-14 loss in Ellsworth on Friday, Sept. 13.

The Broncos took a 6-0 lead late in the first quarter on Alex Baldwin's 53-yard pass to Matt Pfannenstiel. Ellsworth (1-1 overall, 1-0 NCAA) answered back 17 seconds later on Takota Anderson's 47-yard run to go up 7-6. The Bearcats extended their lead to 14-6 just before halftime when Anderson found Ian Trapp on a 35-yard pass. Ellsworth then went up 20-6 on Mo Rojas' 7-yard run late in the third quarter.
