RHS Alum Wins Kansas Four-Ball Championship

RHS Alum Jordan Hecker May 2014Two days of stroke play followed by two days of match play resulted in the crowning of new champions at the 26th Kansas Four-Ball Championship at Alvamar Golf Course in Lawrence on Saturday, June 8.

In the Open Division, Tonganoxie native and Missouri-St. Louis golfer Colby Yates and his partner Russell's Jordan Hecker, who will join the Washburn golf team this fall, defeated the mid-amateur duo of Conrad Roberts and Bradley Lane, both of Lawrence, by a 6 and 5 margin.  Yates and Hecker combined for an impressive 9 birdies through the 13 holes of the final match. 

In the Masters Division, Olathe's Scott Kramer and his partner Michael Hawken of Shawnee took down Manhattan's Tj Vilkanskas and his partner Tyson Osborn of Columbia, MO, by 1 up margin after a back and forth championship match.
