Russell County Free Fair is July 21-24
There’s lots to see and do at the Russell County Free Fair July 21-24 in Russell.
Support our local 4-Her’s! This year's events include the goat and sheep shows and shepard’s lead on Tuesday, swine, bucket calf, dairy cattle and beef shows on Wednesday, livestock judging contest on Thursday and round robin showmanship, awards presentation and livestock sale on Friday
Take a look at all the exhibits inside the 4-H building and while you are there, enjoy some outstanding food at the 4-H food stand in the south room. The Russell Recreation Center will be open with commercial booths.
This year’s lineup on the free entertainment stage features something for everyone. Leading off is American Magician Keith Leff followed by Savanna Chestnut and Sam Shilts on Tuesday, July 21. On Wednesday, July 22, go back to the 70s and 80s with Private Eyes (a Hall and Oats Tribute Band) followed by the Vincents with their wide variety of hits and shenanigans. On Thursday, July 23, enjoy the sounds of Great Bend native and Nashville recording artist Jadynce Jean. And on Friday, July 24 country group Pug Johnson and The Hounds wraps up the week of free, live music and entertainment.

New this year is the Largest Grasshopper Contest sponsored by RCACF. Entries will be accepted each night (Tuesday-Friday, July 21-24) at the 4H Building. Each evening at 8:30 PM, the Fair Board and RCACF will announce the winning entry from the Show Arena. Nightly winners receive $25 in coupons, good at all food vendors and 4H Food Stand. On Friday, July 24, a grand champion will be announced from all entries and will receive $100 in cash and grand champion ribbon.
