As of 3 PM, Monday, September 13, Russell County has had 967 total positive cases of COVID-19 since tracking began, an increase of three cases since Friday, according to the Russell County Health Department.

The current active and in isolation case count is 18 with 921 recovered cases, 68 hospitalizations with two currently hospitalized, 28 deaths and 19 in quarantine.

The average age of positive tests is 42.1. The age range for September is three years old to 75 years old.

The cumulative positivity rate for last week was 11.9 percent. The cumulative positivity rate for this week is 14.3 percent. And the cumulative positivity rate for September is 15.6 percent.

None of the new positive cases were vaccinated. There have been 15 breakthrough infections or infections after vaccination.

As of September 13, Russell County ranks 46th out of 105 counties in the state's vaccination rate, number of cases and number of tests given ranking. Russell County ranked 54th on Friday. The breakdown shows a 43 percent vaccination rate, ranked 79th, average number of COVID cases at 41 per 100,000, ranked 38th, and average number of COVID tests given at 263 per 100,000, ranked 42nd.
