Dream Theater to Debut Storm Chasing Documentary Wednesday

The historic Dream Theater in downtown Russell will host the screening of Storm of Passion on Wednesday, February 5 at 7 PM.
This independent documentary follows a family of storm chasers and their one-of-a-kind tornado intercept vehicle.
Two notable tornado encounters from 2024 are showcased, the May 21 Greenfield, Iowa EF4 and Custer City Oklahoma mile wide wedge. The production follows primarily James and sons Evan and Angelo Breitenbach from Great Bend as they chase together.
In 2019, James and Angelo were involved in an incident after encountering a tornado in a non-armored vehicle, this becomes a talking point in the film as it triggered signs of Post Traumatic Stress in Angelo following the incident. This and his recovery through storm chasing are all featured.
Another star of the documentary is the Tornado Intercept Vehicle 2 (TIV2) which was also featured in the Discovery Channel TV series Storm Chasers.
Doors open at 6 PM with Storm of Passion beginning at 7 PM on Wednesday at the Dream Theater. Following the documentary, crew members from it will host a question-and-answer session. TIV2 also will be parked in front of the Dream for photos.
The documentary also will be shown in El Reno, OK on February 8.
