Drought Conditions Continue Across Kansas

Drought conditions continue across much of Kansas.

According to the latest US Drought Monitor report, some level of drought conditions are being felt across the state except in southern and extreme eastern Kansas where normal conditions are being reported.

Most of Russell County is experiencing moderate drought conditions along with Ellis, Ellsworth, Lincoln, Osborne and Rooks Counties. Barton and Rush Counties are reporting abnormally dry conditions.

Moderate drought conditions stretch from southwest into north central and northeast Kansas with severe to extreme drought conditions being reported in far western and northwest Kansas.

Dry conditions are expected through most of this week with slight chances of rain and snow Sunday and Monday.

A reminder that the fire danger remains high across much of Kansas.
