The Federal Emergency Management Agency has established a December 31, 2022 deadline for applicants to submit eligible COVID-19 projects for 100 percent federal cost share.

The 100 percent federal cost share applies to eligible response actions that state agencies, local government, tribal nations and eligible private nonprofit organizations conducted from the beginning of the incident period on January 20, 2020 through July 1, 2022, the end date for 100 percent federal funding.

Any projects with work completed before and after the July 1 deadline will be developed into two projects to avoid complications with the different federal cost shares. The deadline for identifying and reporting COVID-19 emergency work activities for work to be completed after July 1, 2022 will remain open.
