The City of Gorham and Gorham Community Development Association are working together to build a new splash pad at the Gorham City Park.

This week, GCDA gave an update on their fundraising efforts. The total cost of the project is $732,696. Last week, it was announced Gorham would receive a Community Development Block Grant from the Kansas Department of Commerce for $542,636. That leaves $190,060 left to be raised to meet the 26% match requirement by the Kansas Department of Commerce block grant program.

GCDA says they have raised $141,363.55 with $49,301.99 left to reach their goal.

To reach it, GCDA is taking sponsorships and will be hosting fundraisers including the Gorham Street Dance on August 2.
