Mother Nature Will Decide the Success (and Failure) of Kansas Crops
As you would expect, Mother Nature will play a big part into the success of Kansas crops in 2026.
It's too late for the latest round of rain to help the wheat crop, but it does come at a good time for fall crops according to Craig Dinkel from the Midway Extension District of Russell and Ellsworth counties.

Wheat harvest is underway along with Kansas - Oklahoma border and was expected to begin within the next 7 to 10 days in central Kansas. But recent rain has slowed down the maturing of wheat.
