November 7 City, School General Election Field Set

The field for the November 7 City and School General Election in Russell County has been set.

The filing deadline was June 1 at Noon.

Alvin Baral filed for Bunker Hill Mayor. Jeremy Nestler, Brian Pertl, Larry Philbern, Robert Whitmer, Ryan Cook, Logan Langhofer and Amy Driscoll filed for five at-large positions on the Bunker Hill City Council.

Steve Heaton and Bev Schindler-Wooley filed for Dorrance City Council. Three at-large positions are up for election.

Susan Unrein, Justin Weigel and Lance Murphy filed for three at-large Gorham City Council positions.

Trent Leach filed for Lucas Mayor. Jeffrey Shirley and Joan Pool filed for two at-large Lucas City Council positions.

Delinda Petty filed for Luray Mayor. Nancy Chinski and Tammera Cline filed for two at-large Luray City Council positions.

Melinda Olson and Virginia Vetter filed for two at-large positions on the Midway Extension District Board.

Victoria Tomlinson filed for Russell Regional Hospital Board Position Four and Kim Boxberger filed for Hospital Board Position Five.

Incumbent Russell Mayor Jim Cross will face former Russell City Councilman Chuck Bean in the Russell Mayor's race. Luke Brandenburg filed for Russell City Council in Ward One. Current Ward One Councilman Monty Morrill did not file for re-election. In Wards Two, Three and Four, incumbent Russell City Councilmen Lonnie Whitten, Blaine Stoppel and Dustin Madden all filed for re-election with no opposition.

Kristin Lyle, Adam Kocinski, Jill Gonzalez and Justin Schultze filed for four at-large positions on the Natoma USD 399 Board of Education.

Brett Mai, Deanna Myers, Kelsi Weigel, Ronald Wedel, Kathryn Wallert and David Logsdon filed for four at-large positions on the Russell County USD 407 Board of Education. Mai, Myers, Wedel and Wallert are the incumbents.
