Russell County Commissioners Finalize General Election Results

The Russell County Commissioners met Monday and finalized the November 8 General Election results with the canvass process.

Commissioner Duke Strobel said there were no major changes to the results.

Also Monday, the Commissioners continued to discuss the Russell County Landfill and the purchase of a wheeled compactor.

The move of the Russell County Emergency Management office from Bunker Hill to the Russell County Courthouse was discussed again as well.

Also at Monday's meeting, the Commissioners met with Gorham Fire Chief Glen Blundon about a new tanker fire truck. No action was taken.
