Russell County Elected Officials Take Oath of Office

23 newly elected and returning officials from various Russell County offices and positions took their oath of office on Monday morning, January 13 at the Russell County Courthouse.
20th District Magistrate Judge Crystal Miner conducted the ceremony.
Among the group were three Russell County Commissioners - incumbent Duke Strobel and new commissioners Dean Haselhorst and Jason Krug. Alan Kuntzsch was absent.
This officially marks the expansion of the Russell County Commission from three to five commissioners.
Those that took the oath of office Monday included:
- Jason Krug (County Commissioner District 2)
- Duke Strobel (County Commissioner District 3)
- Dean Haselhorst (County Commissioner District 4)
- Kristi Whitman (County Clerk)
- Elizabeth Gilmore (Register of Deeds)
- Daniel Krug (County Attorney)
- Andrew VanDerWege (County Sheriff)
- Nancy Schmitt (County Hospital Board Position 1)
- Kai Muller (County Hospital Board Position 6)
- Matthew Mai (Big Creek Township Treasurer)
- Raeleen Rienhardt (Big Creek Township Trustee)
- Gerald Staudinger (Center Township Treasurer)
- Ray Kepka Jr. (Center Township Trustee)
- Judy Cable (Fairfield Township Treasurer)
- Jesse Boomhower (Fairfield Township Trustee)
- Talbott Driscoll (Lincoln Township Trustee)
- Kurt Walker (Luray Township Trustee)
- Donald Houston (Plymouth Township Trustee)
- Shelly Whitmer (Plymouth Township Treasurer)
- Anthony Driscoll (Russell Township Treasurer)
- John Driscoll (Russell Township Trustee)

Those that were unable to attend Monday will take their oath of office at a later date.
