Russell Regional Hospital is upgrading the patient portal to MyCareCorner. Patients will have access to their health information between office visits no matter where they are.

MyCareCorner is an interactive user interface that promotes a collaborative approach to healthcare. Regardless of your location or the time, you will have access to your health information.

Three segments of services are offered on the monitoring services: Health Data File, Relationships and Health on the Go.

Health Data comes to life in easy to understand graphs and charts. MyCareCorner connects to common home fitness devices such as blood pressure cuffs, blood glucose devices and weight scales. Once connected, users will not have to record their entries manually.

Relationships are strengthened by the patient opportunity to receive support long after their appointment. Secure messaging is available that also allows you to attach photos and files to your messages if needed.

Health on the Go provides you the MyCareCorner mobile app that allows you to access your personal health records anywhere that internet access is available. Just like the desktop version, you will be able to access personal health records from the hospital, clinic and specialty care.

The MyCareCorner patient portal features include information such as: allergies, appointments, blood glucose, blood oxygen, height, immunizations, medical conditions, medications, medical visits and encounters, procedures, weight values, vital signs, messaging, lab results and documents.

Patients and clients of Russell Regional Hospital will need to sign up for the new patient portal account if they are wanting to utilize this service. This includes existing account users.

Russell Regional Hospital will be switching over to the new portal at 8 AM on Tuesday, May 11. No one will be able to sign up prior to the new portal switchover. Existing users can request a new account by requesting an email invitation on their first hospital visit after May 11 or by sending an email to patientportal@russellhospital.org.

If you choose to send an email, please include your full name, date of birth and the email address where you want to send the invitation. They will begin sending out email invitations on May 11. Please allow up to three business days to receive the invitation.

Louis Lix, RRH Network Tech, commented, "We are pleased to offer this updated technology to our clients and patients. As our world continues to become more and more mobile, it's pertinent that we offer a portal that can assist our account users regardless if they are at home, clinic, hospital or out of town. MyCareCorner is a system that assists the provider and patient/client. This system offers a wide array of options to provide information to and from the health campus and patient."
