Russell Woman Injured in Car Versus Parked Vehicle Crash Friday in Russell

A Russell woman was injured in a car versus parked vehicle crash Friday evening in Russell.

According to Russell Police Chief Jordan Harrison, at 6:51 PM Friday, a 2012 Chevy Impala driven by 47-year-old Melissa Meyer of Russell struck a parked vehicle in the unit block of South Kansas Street in Russell.

Meyer was transported by Russell County EMS to Russell Regional Hospital with minor injuries.

She was not buckled up at the time of the crash.

She was issued a citation for inattentive driving and no seat belt.
