USD 407 Announces Summer Food Program Details

Russell County USD 407 has announced details for its summer meal program.

It will begin on June 1 and continue through July 23. No meals will be served on July 3.

Grab-and-go style meals will be available from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM Monday through Friday at Simpson Elementary School. A hot meal will be provided along with the next day's breakfast.

Children ages 1 to 18 can eat free each day. Adults can purchase breakfast and lunch for $9.

Enter the south door by the gym at Simpson Elementary School and walk to the serving area to pick up meals. Parents can pick up meals without children if the parent meal pick-up form is completed. The form is available here  or you can pick up a paper copy at Simpson.

In a change from previous years, daycares are allowed to pick up meals, but all children must be present to receive the meals. Also, the daycare should not be on a food program to qualify for this option.
